PRESS RELEASE
- November 2020
Champagne Henriot is very proud to release the new Cuvée Hemera 2006. For several years, Maison Henriot has been working on finding a perfect balance between freshness and character. The Cuvée Hemera, named after the Greek Goddess of Daylight, is one of the finest expressions of this quest. In ancient Greek times, Hemera would unveil night to reveal the day’s first rays of light. It embodies the quintessence of Henriot style and symbolises the passage from the darkness of the cellars, where time weaves its magic, to the radiant brightness of the tasting.
- October 2020
Maison Henriot is launching “Alliance Terroir”: a collective group that works in favor of the Champagne terroirs, at the service of wine and oenological excellence but also for the preservation of the Champagne vineyard. The objective is to develop knowledge of our Terroirs from a historical, analytical, and technical point of view, to further support decision-making regarding Henriot viticulture and to take concrete action to preserve these Terroirs in the Champagne landscape. The objective of these awards is to highlight the various actions which help to promote the “King of the wines” throughout the world. Photo credit : ©Michel Jolyot
PRESS REVIEW
Magazine Vigneron - Septembre 2020
Bouchard Père & Fils – Broad heritage of vines, mythical vintages: this historic Maison holds, in its cellars of the Château de Beaune, an invaluable treasure, an entire section of Burgundy’s heritage.
- 17 septembre 2020
Since November 2015, Guillaume d’Angerville has been at the head of the Association des Climats du vignobles de Bourgogne – World Heritage, succeeding Aubert de Villaine, with whom he had been working on the application for the past 3 years. Winemaker in Aulnay, Guillaume d’Angerville passes the torch today in complete confidence to Gilles de Larouzière, President of Bouchard Père & Fils. A change in continuity, prepared between the two men over the past 2 years, with the approval of the Board of Directors. Yet, Guillaume d’Angerville does not stray away from the Association as he will continue to sit there. With a new admiral on board, the Association is ready to meet the new challenges that await it in this very special year.
Bourgogne Aujourd'hui - August-September 2020
The Henriot family just applied for an organic certification of the Bouchard Père & Fils estate in Côte-d’Or and of the William Fèvre estate in Chablis. The two cover a total of 208 hectares (514 acres), which would constitute the largest organic wine organisation in Burgundy as of 2024.
- September 2020
“The early growth, coupled with the Covid health crisis, shook up our habits and setup. The sanitary measures made the work more difficult and distressing, however the results of all these efforts are in: the harvest went very well and will make a beautiful 2020 vintage. Thank you and bravo to all, this harvest will doubtlessly be remembered!»
“A key outcome of this 2020 harvest for Maison Henriot is the great need for observation in the vineyard in order to harvest grapes that meet its requirements and that highlight the Terroirs, as Apolline, founder of Maison Henriot in 1808, wanted.»

The auction is held by @ackerwines (https://www.ackerwines.com/SignUp) and opens on Monday, May 25th, with among others two lots from Champagne Henriot and Bouchard Père & Fils.” Gilles de Larouzière, President of Maisons & Domaines Henriot

“My deepest gratitude to the teams of Maisons & Domaines Henriot, Maisons & Domaines Henriot America, Champagne Henriot, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils, William Fèvre and Beaux Frères for their engagement in these difficult times. Reconciling professional and family life is not easy today. Changing work habits to ensure the safety of the team creates new constraints and calls for creativity and solidarity. There isn’t any more “office jobs” or “field jobs”. There is only a community of passionate people working together to continue a precious heritage and a centuries-old history. Thank you all ! .” Gilles de Larouzière

“In 210 years, our family Champagne House has overcome numerous crises (1815, Prussian war in 1870, Phylloxera, 1914-18,…). My grand father Etienne Henriot (1889 – 1957) succeeded in keeping Champagne Henriot safe through the Phylloxera disaster, the great depression of the 30’s and the 2nd World War. Passion and sense of transmission have been our vital principle for 210 years.” Gilles de Larouzière, Président of Maisons & Domaines Henriot
